Lange’s Frankland River Shiraz

”20yo estate vines, matured in French oak for 24 months. An impressive shiraz, initially with opulently rich black cherry and blackberry fruit, then moving into notes of licorice and dark chocolate, natural leaders in the final phase of fine-grained, persistent, tannins. Rating - 94 POINTS

Lange’s Frankland River Shiraz 2012

”A big and very ripe jammy fruit style of shiraz with warming alcohol and complex cedary notes. Drinking well now. Awarded “4 Stars” and “Best in Class” from Winestates “Best of the West 2017”.

Lange’s Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016
”A bright and juicy blended white that stows so much lemony tropical fruit into the palate with just that little bit of herbaceousness. Zippy palate that is long and precise. An excellent wine for immediate drinking with a real punch and kick on the finish.”

Lange’s Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016
First release from a long time grower now turned to ‘getting high on their own supply’. This wine was made by Janice McDonald of Howard Park fame.
Grassy notes, whiff of tropical, lime juice, warm steel scents. Spot on. Juiciness, easy drinking, citrusy and fresh, light and clean and bright. Simple stuff done well. Drink up.

Lange’s Shiraz 2011
“This is a slightly different take on shiraz. It’s a new name for Frankland River and the wine displays a beautiful restraint and focus but still with stacks of fruit intensity. Moves into the black cherry spectrum, more than the opulence of plummy and blackcurrant. A little coffee grind and dark chocolate, with a dusting of dry earth.
This is a slightly alternative style, with a dry almost atypical Aussie feel to it but it’s pretty good.”

Lange’s Shiraz 2011
”Grown on 19 year-old vines. Matured in all-French oak. Only 64 dozen made. The fruit quality is excellent... chocolately/coffeed oak and spice notes are welcome and attractive.”
