Premium cool climate wines from the great southern of Western Australia

Our wines are produced from select parcels of fruit chosen from our single estate vineyard at Frankland River, Western Australia. Our first vintage was the limited release Lange's 2011 Shiraz produced from our old Shiraz block.

The wine was made by James Kellie of Harewood Estate Denmark, renowned for making premium Shiraz.

Lange's Shiraz will be an exclusive limited release each vintage, along side our limited release Semillon Sauvignon Blanc made by Janice McDonald , renowned for making premium Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.

Our blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon creates a vibrant and enticing wine. Intense aromas of guava and gooseberry mingle with hints of custard apple, cantaloupe, sweet herbs and citrus zest. The palate offers bright fruits, a lovely lemon butter richness and a refreshing citrus acidity to finish. Abundant juicy fruits and a lively structure make for a delicious wine to enjoy when young.

Lange’s Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016
First release from a long time grower now turned to ‘getting high on their own supply’. This wine was made by Janice McDonald of Howard Park fame.
Grassy notes, whiff of tropical, lime juice, warm steel scents. Spot on. Juiciness, easy drinking, citrusy and fresh, light and clean and bright. Simple stuff done well. Drink up.

“This is a slightly different take on shiraz. It’s a new name for Frankland River and the wine displays a beautiful restraint and focus but still with stacks of fruit intensity. Moves into the black cherry spectrum, more than the opulence of plummy and blackcurrant. A little coffee grind and dark chocolate, with a dusting of dry earth.
This is a slightly alternative style, with a dry almost atypical Aussie feel to it but it’s pretty good.”

Our History


Lange's vineyard was established in 1997 and is run by the family, Kim and Chelsea their children Jack Ella and Dylan together with Don and Maxine.

The vineyard is situated in the picturesque grape growing region of Frankland River known for producing cool climate, premium quality fruit.
